Lawn Care

Lawn Rebuilds & Sod

Full lawn restoration for Durham Region homeowners. We don't just patch — we fix the grade, drainage, and soil so your new lawn actually lasts.

Our Lawn Rebuild Process

Every step done right — from assessment to final walkthrough.

01

Site Assessment

We assess your lawn — soil condition, drainage, grade, and what's causing the problem.

02

Removal & Prep

Dead grass, weeds, and debris are removed. Soil is tilled, amended if needed, and graded properly.

03

Grading & Drainage

We correct any low spots, slopes toward the house, or drainage issues before laying anything.

04

Sod or Seed

Premium sod is laid in tight rows with no gaps, or seed is applied with starter fertilizer depending on your goals.

05

Topdressing

A layer of quality topsoil or compost blend is applied to give roots the best possible start.

06

Cleanup & Walkthrough

Full site cleanup and a walkthrough with care instructions so your new lawn establishes properly.

What Every Rebuild Includes

No half-measures. A proper lawn rebuild means addressing everything — soil, grade, drainage, and establishment — not just laying sod over a bad base.

  • Soil tilling and amendment where needed
  • Proper grading and drainage correction
  • Premium sod installation or overseeding

Common Questions

Sod vs. seed — which is better?

Sod gives you an instant lawn and is ready to use in 2–3 weeks. Seed is more economical for large areas but takes a full season to establish. We'll recommend the right option for your situation.

What's the best time of year for a lawn rebuild?

Late summer to early fall is ideal — cooler temps and fall rains help new grass establish before winter. Spring is also good. We work through the growing season.

My lawn has a lot of low spots and puddles — can you fix that?

Yes. Grading and drainage correction is part of every rebuild. We address the root cause so you're not dealing with the same problem next year.

How long until I can use my new lawn?

Sod can be lightly walked on after 2 weeks and used normally after 3–4 weeks. Seeded lawns need 6–8 weeks before regular use.
